MAASAI HISTORY

Explore the mysterious origins of the Maasai people. MAASAI MUSIC AND DANCES

You will be greeted by a group of Maasai’s in their colorful costumes and take part in their jumping form of dance called adumu or aigus. Experience also the traditional Maasai Music that incorporates various interesting and fun body movements.

MAASAI SPEAR, ARROW AND BOW ACTIVITIES

At Maasai World Zanzibar, Maasai warriors will teach you how to use the hunting tools like the Spear, Arrow and Bow and you can try them to hit the target.

MAASAI AUTHENTIC VILLAGE

The Maasai live in structures known as 'Manyatta', which are low height dwellings, essentially huts, made of mud, cow dung and wood, with a single entrance and minimal side windows. Clusters of these manyatta huts, which form a homestead or village, are known as a Maasai ''Boma''. Several Bomas can also join together to make a larger village. The individual huts themselves, the manyattas, have windows so small that it can be very dark inside a manyatta even on a sunny day.
